Don't get me wrong: the list is here exactly to help you answer any
and all of the questions you have asked so far, but it looked to me
like your partner might need hard (self experienced) data about how to
work with Subversion without the bad tastes from VSS.

But what I mean is not to pilot with all your company assets (which is
what your mails sound like now), but with a small - maybe even totally
unimportant - project where it's not a big problem that resources may
be 'in danger'.
