It's easier just to use MacPorts to build the subversion and the
subversion-javahlbindings ports which will do all the work for you.

My normal sets are

port -v test subversion
port -v install subversion
port -v test subversion-javahlbindings
port -v install subversion-javahlbindings

This way you also test the build.
