modify a file

hi, i have some files managed under svn that i've locked and now
would like to get svn to see them as edited without actually
modifying the file. i've tried "touch" but no change, anyone got any
ideas? these files are binaries and we don't want to have to edit
them in the parent program to get svn to see them as modified.
