One more question

+ Given the usage I described what would be the best way of configuring
     the server, that is using Apache, svnserve, something else?

     I'm going to be the only user of this machine, it will have
a 100Mbit
     connection 24/7 and considering what will be on that
machine I would
     like to have to have it reasonable secure.
