Re: strange error

While this issue was being discussd, I couldn't get the APR from the
deps package to even compile.

configure refused to execute, saying it couldn't find /bin/sh^M.
Piped it through dos2unix, and same problem with something in the
build directory. Fixed that the same way...

Then some different error that I can't remember, and it wasn't so easy
as dos2unix'ing it to fix it.

Is it a bug if your configure script refuses to get even the first
line executed?
