checkout problems in svn client version 1.2.3 on redhat linux....

HI All,

We have an SVN client installed on the linux server (Redhat) which
houses the repository also. When we try to checkout/import a folder from
the repository it gets stuck at the .dmp/.xls files. The thread that is
checking-out/importing the files will just hang and do nothing, at which
point we just have to kill the process to get out of it. Once we
re-start the machine it will work fine.

The SVN client we are using is version 1.2.3. This problem does not
happen in the windows machine, has anybody faced a similar problem and
if so what was the resolution.
