I said in my previous post, optimistically, that I can set right the
wrong permissions on the working copy but I find that I have been a
bit optimistic with that. Yes, I can use the Finder to change the
permissions on the top-level and have it cascade down, but for some
reason XCode doesn't like it. Even though I'm nominally the owner of
the project, XCode insists that the project file (and the framework
kits) are read only and refuses to let me save any changes.
So, I'm thoroughly stuck. On the upside, my project is very safe--I
can't possibly mess it up. On the downside, I can't do anything with
it. Well, I can, but I can't save my changes which comes down to the
same thing.
