There is always a way. You can pick up the source code and write your
own solution to make this work if you need to have svn:// access to
support LDAP. That'll work. Or - if you don't have the skills, I am
sure you could probably hire a consultant (perhaps one of the
developers) to write it for you.

Outside of that, the only two options currently available (work done by
other people) is by using svn+ssh:// or http(s)://. In those cases,
subversion is utilizing the authentication / authorization mechanisms
provided by the message delivery appliances (SSH or Apache).

Is there any particular reason why neither of those will work for you?
