mod_dav_svn.so load issue

(note: sorry if this is a repeat--- I sent a message earlier that bounced)

I'm running xp sp2. Apache 2.053 and svn 1.4 (alhtough
I'm having the same issues with svn 1.3*)

i cannot start apache when loading mod_dav_svn.so.

i understand this is a common issue, but i think i've
tried all of the regularly suggested fixes:

-copying all svn DLLs (and mod_dav_svn.so) into the
apache modules directory
-copying all svn DLLs into the apache bin directory
-adding relevant paths to Path env. variable

finally, i discovered Dependency walker-- a *great*
utility for tracing library dependencies. Apparently I
am missing: msjava.dll, a dependency of
mod_dav_svn.so.

i found (and subsequently lost) a post that suggested:
-intalling .NET framework 2 (not sure why this was
suggested, but i tried it and it didn't help)

i also found a thread suggesting you can ignore
msjava.dll-- ok, but then I have no leads. anyone?

Thanks in advance for suggestions.
