If you're going to version, archive or even zip an Access MDB, then
compact it first. They're _full_ of discarded temp stuff.
 
My expectation would be that any attempt to diff an Access database is
doomed - the contents of that one monolithic file move around an awful
lot. You'd have a lot more luck on a database that did at least allow
you to see the tables as separate versionable resources. Of course you
can store an archive copy of it, but then you could do that with any
backup utility.
