What did you mean by "That was the case," ?

If it meant "removed in production" then you have bigger problems.

Firstly, you should not have subversion available in production.
Secondly, you should have a reliable and repeatable release process in
place.
Thirdly, your developers should not have access to production boxes.

I strongly believe you should fix the above problems before you run into
bigger issues.
