I'd expect a boss to ask (and for me to be able to answer).

"What are the best product options"

I expect the boss to want more than one to at least understand the
reason for the choice - this might just be comparing to a current SCM
product of course.

For each they'll likely need to know
- How will this product improve our business (saves time, reduces
risk, new opportunities, ...)
- What will it cost to purchase and install
- What are the ongoing support/licensing costs
- How strong is this products market position (how mature, will the
product continue to be developed/maintained)

They MAY need to know (depending upon their technical interest and how
easy it is to differentiate products without technical detail).

- Technical strengths.
- Technical weaknesses.

Any other manager-types here that have questions they'd ask in these
situations? If we get good coverage we could then produce a ready
written document as a starter for potential adopters.
