Subversion either treats files as binary (i.e. does no interpretation at
all)
or as textual, meaning it transforms line endings and possibly replacing
some
markers if explicitly told so. Otherwise, there are no modifications done to

contained data, so this shouldn't have anything to do with Subversion.

I'd check the file history to find out where these first stared occuring,
but
I wouldn't think it was just the move to the Subversion repository. Possibly

(I really don't know) Subclipse does further things to files, e.g. while
merging XML files that cause this, but I honestly don't know. This would
then
be more suitable to a Subclipse-related mailinglists because it is a
separate
project.
