have you tried to install subversion from

ftp://ftp.tu-cottbus.de/pub/unix/linux/suse.com/projects/apache/subversion/9.1-i386/subversion-1.3.0-1.1.20060120.i586.rpm

thats not the 9.0 version, but it might work anyway
