FSFS is available since 1.1 and default since 1.2 or 1.3!
It should be safe because one revision <==> 1 file. It's also more reliable.

We at www.gate-birds-sky.org are using Subversion since Version 0.37
(or so) and had some problems with the BDB backend. When someone
checked in a change, I had to run "svnadmin recover gbs" each time.
That was not tollerable. With FSFS there are no such problems!
