I tried to install different SVN versions from tarballs on Debian.

when I do "./configure --with-ssl " I am getting:

checking for gai_strerror... yes
checking for inet_ntop... yes

checking whether to enable ACL support in neon... yes
checking for pkg-config... /usr/bin/pkg-config
checking for openssl pkg-config data... no
checking for library containing RSA_new... not found
configure: error: could not find library containing RSA_new

please advise,
