commit failed due to "backwards-sliding source views" - what do I do?

From: Jonathan Coles <jcoles0727_at_rogers.com>

After a year of near-flawless performance, I get this weird
error when I try to commit files:

  commit failed (details follow):
  svndiff has backwards-sliding source views

What is a "source view"? And what does it mean for it to
slide backwards?

How do I fix this? There are no conflicts. I just want to
commit a new version of my files.
