loading dumped database over an existing repository?

Guys,

We have a full database dump that we need to load into
another repository which already has the same data.

Can I simply load this database into the new one and
it will overwrite the same records without duplicate
them?
Or should I delete the directories in the repository
first without creating a new one in subversion then
load the database?
