A question from one of our power-users who is just getting used to svn, that's (imo) worth pondering.
Yes it's possible to achieve the results by a bit of fiddling around with perl or whatever, but it seems a useful suggestion.

outside of source code changes over subversion return values ?
e.g. consider the the following,
if the output of a update command on a given file gave both the last r# of the file and the current r# of the server it would be much friendlier.
C:\Source\CspEsignal\trunk>svn update CspExchangeContext.cpp
C:\Source\CspEsignal\trunk>svn log CspExchangeContext.cpp
added FormatStrikePrice
