svnserve keeps shtum about what's going on or not

Hi

For some days I try to get svnserve with built-in authentication to
work. Without success.

svnserve seems not to have any logging or other debugging capabilities
that would help to solve problems in finite time. Does anyone agree,
this is a bug?
