User name as author when using LDAP

Hi,

we're planning a migration from CVS to SVN, and are now in the process
of verifying that SVN has all the features that we need.

Initially, we set up svnserve, and SVN correctly registered my user name
as author (I log on as 'havard' and in the SVN log the author is
'havard').

Now that we're preparing for production use, we want to use Apache with
LDAP for user authentication. With Apache+LDAP, I log on as 'havard' and
SVN logs the author as 'CN=Håvard
Bjåstad,CN=Users,DC=tracetracker,DC=com'

I've searched the documentation, FAQ and mailing lists without finding a
way to override what SVN uses as author. Is there a way to tell SVN to
use user name as author for commits?
