Hi guys,
I know that WindowsXP have 256 characters limit to c:\path\filename.ext
so if you download to C:\Documents and
Setting\username\Documents\...\files you are already loosing a lot of
characters. I used to download from Linux to WindowsXP, an in Linux the
path was OK, but when I download to WindowsXP I got problems.
Does anyone know what's the limit for linux machines?
Regards,
Andre.

It depends on how long you're talking about. There are limits on path
lengths on most operating systems, so if you're hitting an OS imposed
limit you're kind of out of luck, the only work around is to check out
smaller directory trees.
