Apache2 - Subversion configuration

Hi,

Sorry, I've got a bit of a newbie question here - I think its also more of a dav_svn_module problem, but I hope you can help.

I'm trying to set up the apache2 subversion module on a Suse Linux box, but I'm having access rights problems. I've created a repository and set up the module as described in the help, but whenever I try to access the repository I get a 403-Access Denied message.

The readme file provided by Suse described an example repository set up like this:

/srv/svn/html
/srv/svn/repos/project
/srv/svn/user_access

The repository is set up using the project directory, and I disabled the various bits in the subversion.conf file setting permissions so it should allow all access for the moment. When I try to access any of the "repos" directory on the server, I get the 403 access denied message. The repos directory should just be aliased to the /srv/svn/html directory, but even this doesn't seem to work.

I should be able to access the repository by using repos/project, but this also gives me an access denied message. I've changed the file permissions, but no combination seems to work.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding a solution?

Thanks

Keith Rogers
