SVK question

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I figure it won't
hurt to try...

I'm trying to set up SVK to mirror another Subversion repository that I
control, using the SVK mirror and smerge commands. On the surface, it
appears to work. I commit a change to the local repository, run svk
smerge -I //local/<reponame> //remote/<reponame>, and it appears to be
doing everything it's supposed to do. When I check the log on the
remote repository, it shows the entries for the changes I made locally.
However, when I then checkout the files from the remote repository, the
changes aren't there. It still shows the revisions, but no revising is
actually done, apparently. Any idea where I could start looking for
troubleshooting this?
