Sharing files across projects

Everyone,

There was a feature request put in for Subversion to be able to share a file across projects:

The person who requested their feature entered it as a task which was closed. I am looking to see if there is a corresponding issue for this request before I enter one. I looked in issue tracker but I could not find such a request. Other than source code files there are property files that we share across projects and maintaining multiple copies across projects is very cumbersome. I was wondering if this feature would ever get into Subversion.
