Can't commit -- working copy missing or not locked

From: William Trenker <wtrenker_at_gmail.com>

I'm still getting used to using the svn mv/rm etc commands so I went
and removed a directory in my working copy using a plain linux rm -rf
command. Now when I try to commit my most recent changes I get a
"working copy ... missing or not locked" message.

How to I get myself out of this?

Thanks for any help,
Bill
