Thanks for the quick reply, Brane.

We do however experience the large file checkout problems on Windows
consistently.

Our setup is like this:

- The Subversion server 1.3.1 installed on Windows 2000 Advanced Server
with Apache 2.0.55;
- The repository are using file system instead of Berkeley DB.

Most of our client are Windows 2000 professional and it seems running ok
without problems. However, when the client OS is Window 2000 Sever,
Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server and Solaris, whenever client trying to
check out group of large files (We do have many large binary files
checked in), the checkout will hang and eventually failed.

That FAQ entry is specific to Mac OS, or rather, to Unix-like
environments. As far as I know, APR never had any problems with large
files on Windows.

There are, however, other issues that prevent us from building
Subversion 1.3.x with Apache 2.2.x. One such problem was fixed recently,
and this fix will probably be part of the 1.4 release, so it should be
theoretically possible to to build 1.4 with Apache 2.2.

Note that I'm not volunteering to do that, as I'm a bit short for time
these days. You might ask on the users@subversion.tigris.org list has
built with Apache 2.2.
