Getting internet website providers to support svn

Hi,

I'm new to the list, a long time user of cvs, and
getting used to the differences with svn (such as
sensitivity to differences in newline conventions,
different kinds of lock problems, and difficulties
repairing problems caused by computers checking in
things with dates far into the future).

I'm also getting used to the limited svn copy and
svn rename commands that save so much time, and
their limitations.

I have discussed the possibility with
various Internet providers ("web hosts")
of providing an svn capability. I would pay for
the repository space and they would host
svnserve (they already host various programs
like mysql, apache, etc.).

My question is:

Are any materials available to assist in
negotiating ("selling") an Internet
provider on the idea of wanting to host svn?

Mike Brenner
