Yes. This is nasty to do, since the old logs of wherever the files have ever been also need to be flushed.

Whatever you do, when creating the new repository, *DO NOT* allow it to get renumbered! I accidentally did this and caused a lot of shrieking as people's locally checked out projects had higher numbers than the repository itself, and caused endless trouble.

We have some old static content in our Subversion repository that is no longer needed and we need to move it to an archived folder. Up until now we have just left it all in there but now they want to clean it up. Any tips or gotchas I need to know about?
