Does anyone else think it's a little non-intuitive for "svn delete"
to complain that it can't delete a file because it was already
deleted outside svn?

Two reasonable fixes appear to be:
  - as others have pointed out, give a more informative error message
suggesting 'svn revert.'
  - just go ahead and behave like "svn revert" in this case (with a
warning unless --quiet).
