Perhaps we are looking at an opportunity to tune the documentation?

I'm not familiar enough with the whole scenario here, but this could be
added as just another example of how to use the various pieces of
Subversion.

I have to admit that I have run into similar situations where I have
added files and then decided that I didn't want to add them. So I
played - I tried delete (without the --force). It didn't work. I did
NOT automatically assume that I needed to add flags to this command. I
read the book again. How dumbed-down does a tool need to be to prevent
.01% of the user base from making mistakes?

As a previous poster pointed out, even if you put an "Are you sure you
want to delete? Y/N" in the middle of this, it is still not going to
keep anyone from shooting themsleves in the foot. The fact that someone
read just enough to see a --force option tells me they at least started
to look at the book or a reference somewhere, but did not understand the
full effects of what this would do.

Regards,
Frank
