"svn: Can't find entry" during update

Hello,

I added and committed a number of files in a sub-sub-sub-directory
from computer A. Now when I try to update from computer B, I get the
error message "svn: Can't find entry 'MyFile in 'path/to/dir'". The
update aborts, and of course I can't commit this directory and its
parents either.

svn status returns
! .
...
! path
! path/to
! path/to/dir
...

Google doesn't offer anything on that error message. svn cleanup does
not help. As a last ditch possibility I consider copying the
.svn/entries file from the originating computer, but I'd better ask first.

What may have caused this? How can I resolve it?

Thanks

Helge
