From what version, with what goals?

As I understand it, you can just install the new version and you're
done - assuming you're using FSFS and not BDB. BDB may require extra
hoops due to newer versions of the libraries. You may see a
performance improvement with the new delta algorithm if you're running
a sufficiently old version - the gain will be realized on the whole
repository if you do a dump/reload, otherwise just newer revisions.
