working copy 'dir' locked - cleanup doesn't help

Hello,

I'm getting
        Working copy 'dir' locked
        run 'svn cleanup' to remove locks
Cleanup runs without comment but doesn't clear the
problem.
Status does not report any locks.

Any ideas?
