Well, I've used non-recursive checkouts in the last view weeks with 1.3.0 and
it works quite well... I do that in a script that creates branches for our
build system, and that script does non-recursive checkouts to a temporary
directory, initializes merge-tracking with svnmerge and then check that in.
No problems encountered whatsoever.
