Thanks for the reply. I do have a second question to anyone out there.

This is not a Windows/Linux preference as we use both. Which is the
recommended version to use, the Windows or the Linux version. Or is
there little to choose from. We have been testing the Windows version
and out of interest I wanted to test the Linux one as well. Will I be
gaining anything from doing so?

Thanks in advance for the advice.

if you just want to play around a bit with it on windows, you
can download TortoiseSVN - that tool not only accesses Subversion
repositories, it can also create them. For more functionality, download
the windows subversion binaries, which include svnserve at this time (I
think) and that will let you do pretty much anything.

if you have yum or apt installed, (since I see you're looking at
redhat) you can use those to get subversion fairly easily.

This is my first time look at Subversion - at least at the web
site.

        Query seems an interesting package.

Had a look at the binary downloads. Do I have to download
everything in that long list in

http://the.earth.li/pub/subversion/summersoft.fay.ar.us/pub/subversion/l
atest/redhat-9.0/bin/
<http://the.earth.li/pub/subversion/summersoft.fay.ar.us/pub/subversion/
latest/redhat-9.0/bin/>

or is there a single file I can download.

        Regards
