Hi guys,
I have just installed Subversion 1.3.0 running on Apache 2.0.55 in my PC
(WinXP)....FSFS repository.
I have to evaluate the software and decide if we are going to use it to
control the versions of our applications.
We have currently 6 J2EE applications, 4 already developed, tested and
published and more 2 in development. One of those has 3 modules being
developed by 3 different teams....and thats where i need your help.
I was reading the best practices of SVN and as far as i could see, we need a
trunk version and 3 branches(one for each of the modules being developed)..pls
tell me if im right.
We would like to implement 3 environments within the repository (Development,
Testing and Prod)....can we do that with SVN??...do you recommend to use 3
different repositories? o create 3 folders within only one repo?. How can i
synchronized the changes made on the development environment(by the
development teams) with the version of that application in the testing
environment and later in the prod environment?? Or suggest another procedure
to acomplish the integration and publishing tasks.
Can i synchronize files accross repositories or \"environments\"(i guess they
would be folders in the repository)??
How can i browse/search for the files that have been modified in a period of
time? is there a query i can make over the repository??

thanks for the help,
best regards!
Hiroshi Tominaga
