Correct me if I'm wrong, but "junctions" only works for directories,
not for files.

Moreover, 99% of Windows applications are not aware of what a junction
is, so "search" tool may search several times the same directories,
anit-virus software will scan the same directories as many times as
junction points exist in the partition, and so forth.

Support for soft links is so weak (and so heterogenous) that I think
it's fair to say Windows does not really support them for now (up to
XP)
