I worry that it would be more confusing than helpful. For example,
every user will face the question

   Does "N-100" mean literally "the number N, minus 100" or does it
   mean "100 changes before N, whatever the revision numbers are"?

Both answers are reasonable; either answer will be surprising to some
people some of the time.
