SVN 1.3 DB Courruption - Information for the developers

From: Greg McGregor <greg_at_gmcgregor.com>
Date: 2006-01-27 20:45:27 CET

Our Windows 2003 server running SVN 1.3 became unresponsive and a reboot was
required. Upon a restart, the SVN repository was corrupted. When I ran’
svnadmin recover c:\svnrep’ (as we are using BDB), the following was
displayed:

C:\svnrepo>svnadmin recover c:\svnrepo

Repository lock acquired.

Please wait; recovering the repository may take some time...

svnadmin: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery

svnadmin: bdb: Log sequence error: page LSN 432 669514; previous LSN 432
774758

svnadmin: bdb: Recovery function for LSN 432 653936 failed on forward pass

svnadmin: bdb: PANIC: Invalid argument

C:\svnrepo>

For your information…

Greg
