repository on USB drive

Hello,

Is there any problem using an FSFS/FAT32 repository by different
direct-access local clients. I have a single-user repository on a USB
drive and would like to use this repository on various machines not
necessarily connected to a network.

Are there issues regarding repository version, client version, or
operating system? If so, do the major/minor version numbers tell me
something about compatibility?

Thanks for any advice or shared experiences. Cheers,

Alex
