Probably -- how do I find out?
Where do I get a newer version of the module *or* an older version of
apache?

I'd prefer to just install the binaries using a standard installer
package (like the one downloadable from wsanchez' iDisk) instead of
compiling them on my own, because there are no dev tools installed on
the server, and I'm having some trouble compiling the sources on my
local machine (and even if the "make install" succeeded, transferring
the entire installated folder structure shouldn't be possible easily).

So, any links to downloadable binaries are pretty much appreciated :-)
