post-commit in svn 1.3.0 and use of svnlook changed

Hi folks,
I'm finding that a number of svnlook commands run in the post-commit hook for subversion 1.3.0 repository return value 1 and no other output.
This occurred in the Linux Enterprise 4 binary version.

However, running the same svnlook commands outside of the post-commit hook do return output successfully.

I see that this issue was posted to another archive and thus seen by others:

Can someone tell me if this is a bug or expected behaviour.
I would think that it would be necessary to have svnlook changed, svnlook dir-changed, svn tree info available during the post-commit hook at the revision just made.
(actually, I cannot get the info at any revision.)

thanks
Craig Bordelon
