Ok, now I understand what you were getting at. I thought you meant
there was some sort of Host ID dependency, or something odd like that.

So if you install the same version of Subversion (and its
dependencies) on multiple systems, then you should be able to carry a
repository to another system. It will of course have the same format
(bdb or fsfs) as before.
