Subversion on macromedia flash source files

Hi,

I'm looking for a versioning control system for my company's flash development. I've tried on subversion but after a few commits and updates. Database failure.

Subversion claims to be able to compare binary files bit by bit and only save the changes. Does it works with flash .fla or .swf files? Our project's .fla files size can be as big as 50GB. Can the database handle this?

Thanks.
