svn client status2 not working on single files

Hi there!
Searched the arcs for this issue, but only found one message asking for the
same problem (Which sadly never was answered...,

think that there is a bug in the svn_client_status2 function, as the false
behavior even is reproduceable with the precompiled svn command line client.
If you specify a path, everyting works fine, but if you provide a single
file, the svn command line client returns nothing and the svn_client_status2
function returns an error, saying that it isn't a working copy. As mentioned
in the manual of the client library (/doc/svn__client_8h.html#a41), it
should work similar with a single file. If someone could confirm this, I
would ask to raise a bug ticket, otherwise it would be great to illuminate
me with what I'm missing there...
