Strange log entries/commit failures

From: André Pönitz <andre_at_wasy.de>

A colleaque of mine is producing the following entries in the apache log
when trying to commit a largish svn copy

[Tue Aug 23 15:15:44 2005] [error] [client 193.102.5.104] The locks could
not be queried for verification against a possible "If:" header. [500, #0]
[Tue Aug 23 15:15:44 2005] [error] [client 193.102.5.104] (22)Invalid argument:
Path is not accessible. [403, #405]

This is a 1.2.0 server (apache 2.0.54, SuSE 9.2) and a 1.2.0 client
(TortoiseSVN) using the fsfs backend.

The client yields an error message after a while (in German, looks somehow like
a translation of "Connection reset by peer")

What I am/is he doing wrong or what further information would be needed to
answer this question?

Andre'
