svn commit failed

Hi,
We tried to update our svn repository using a new vendor version. The commit failed with the following message from svn
svn: Inconsistent line-endings in source stream
Our tests seemed to indicate the problem was form several binary files that have been changed in this new vendor version. Do we need to setup svn property for these binary files? The svn user's documentation is not very clear on this subject. Thanks for the help.
