CVS alias

With CVS, you could create an alias for a tag or a branch by using the
"cvs admin" command. Does subversion support this feature?

cvs2svn complains when it encounters this. This is a sample error message:

WARNING: in 'Safe/makeAllStubs,v':
   branch '1.5.14' already has name 'DS06_04_02',
   cannot also have name 'DS06_04_00', ignoring the latter
