You'd think it could arrange upon checkout and update to make
timestamps identical between files and their images in .svn/text-base/
or whatever, and trigger an investigation if the timestamps were older
*or* newer. That would avoid this problem. I don't know quite what
svn actually does, but that's MHO on what it *should* do.
